Sezen comes from Turkey. Since 2008, lives in between Lisbon and other cities. She already lived in many places in different cities and countries temporarily or more permanent basis. She has lived with family, friends, companions, people she does not know before. She called home to some of those houses. She always remembers her childhood homes. She takes off your shoes before entering her house. She already had to adapt to different architectures and ways of living the space of the house. In the era of global nomadism, the statement “home is where the heart is” is not enough to explain where and why we choose a place to settle. In order to feel at home, we all try to create the best conditions, despite the fact that policies of housing, immigration, employability and property rights directly and drastically affect the way we live. Casa-Corpo seeks to question the meaning of “home” for people from different contexts and reflect on how to create and inhabit our space on this planet. What does makes us feel at home? Where do we feel at home?
