The Radiotron and Lata65, a project by the association MistakerMaker, share the will to normalize graffiti and urban culture amid residents of different generations and social contexts, through direct participation.
Aware of the challenges posed by the vandalism with spray paint on historical building fronts in the São Paulo axis to structures, establishments and neighbourhood groups, they projected formative activities and an intervention on the building’s front, launched in an event featuring the participation of the artists, partners and residents.
Wall of Fame’s proposal is to gather youth in school age from the area throughout the week between the 4th and 9th of October, to accompany the conception and execution of a mural in graffiti portraying the emerging cultural structures that work here, while MistakerMaker promotes an intensive workshop on graffiti for senior residents of the area, in which they will historically contextualize and experiment this practice. The mural, that will represent the partners in graffiti styles from different eras, will be done simultaneously, and inaugurated in a Block Party on the 10th of October.
