Salomé Honório
Salomé Honório is a writer and researcher based in the outskirts of Lisbon. Co-founder of the collective Lóbula, her work stems from crucial commitments to trans, queer, feminist and anti-racist agendas. She recently completed her PhD in Comparative Studies at the University of Lisbon. She is the author of “Lábio/Abril” (Traveller/Presente, 2015), “Plexo Lunar” (with Félix Rodrigues, Sapata Press, 2019) and “fox, closet & fist” (Winter Olympics, 2017). Her English language poetry has appeared on platforms such as Amberflora, ZARF, Futch Press, and the Earthbound Poutry Series. At the moment, she is preparing a translated anthology of texts by the experimental US writer Kathy Acker (1947-1997).
Alice dos Reis
Alice dos Reis is an artist who lives and works between Amsterdam and Lisbon. She holds a Master in Fine Arts from the Sandberg Institute with a scholarship from the Gulbenkian Foundation. She has presented her work in several solo and group exhibitions in institutions and galleries in Portugal and abroad, namely MAAT Museum (Lisbon), EYE Film Museum (Amsterdam), Kunsthalle Lissabon (Lisbon), Museu de Arte Contemporânea de Serralves (Porto), Display (Prague), Seventh Gallery (Melbourne), Galeria Municipal do Porto (Porto), Galerie InSitu (Paris) and Geleria Lehmann + Silva (Porto). Her films have been presented in platforms such as Vdrome and Museum of the Moving Image (NY) and film festivals such as Lo schermo dell’arte Film Festival (Florence), DocLisboa and Indie Lisboa. In 2019, she was the winner of the Novo Banco Revelation Award and between 2020 and 2021 she is a Mondriaan Fonds for Emerging Artists grantee.
Cru Encarnação
Cru Encarnação is a performance artist, writer and translator born in Lisbon and based in Berlin. They have studied Philosophy and Comparative Literature at Freie Universität Berlin. In their work, they seek to create open-ended brainstorms that platform the cognitive-motorical and chemical-physical expansion of socially constructed meaning. His dissociative, fictional and speculative modus operandi discloses a fragile yet vicious reality.
Odete
Multidisciplinary artist, Odete (b. 1995, Porto) develops a work that operates in the field of music, visual arts, performance and theater. She completed the Performing Arts course at the Academia Contemporânea do Espetáculo – Escola de Artes in Porto, in 2013, where she attended the performing arts course in the area of acting. She also has a bachelor’s degree in General Studies from the University of Lisbon. She has presented her creations in different spaces and contexts, such as, Teatro Sao Luiz (Lisbon) Teatro Municipal Campo Alegre (Porto), malavoadora.porto (Porto), CasAzul (Barcelos), CAPC – Círculo de Artes Plásticas de Coimbra (Coimbra), Festival DDD – Dias da Dança (Porto), Festival Iminente (Lisbon), Rua das Gaivotas 6 (Lisbon). Recently she won the ReXform award for performing arts, presenting the project “On Revelations and Muddy Becomings” at MAAT and in collaboration with the biennial BoCA. In the area of music, she is agencyed by Filho Único. She has released EPs and albums “Water Bender” (New Scenery, 2020), “To those who are paranoid broken bored” (Self-release, 2019), “Amarração” (Rotten:Fresh, 2019) and “Matrafona” (Naivety, 2018). He made music for Raquel André’s “Coleção de Artistas” spectacle, Luara Learth Moreira’s “Manguba” and Dinis Machado’s “Yellow Puzzle Horse”. He has done soundtracks for several films including “Rapariga Imaterial” by André Godinho/Cão Solteiro. or “Atravessar a grande Noite” by Jota Mombaça. Collaborated with the knowbotiq collective on soundscapes for landscapes in Scotland and Guimarães. He is part of the “SHAPE platform” 2021-2022, a platform for innovative music funded by the European Union program “Creative Europe”. He collaborated as a performer in “Cyborg Sunday” by Dinis Machado, in “O Despertar da Primavera” by Teatro Praga and recently in a performance by Gonçalo Lamas, “Boeing Nº 737-800 in F#m”, at Culturgest Porto. He presented his first solo exhibition at O Bardo and, more recently, the. exhibition LYSIS, with Diana Policarpo at Quéréla (Lisbon). She released her first book of poetry entitled “The Elder Femme and other Stone Writings” by Pântano Books.
