FED BY VENUS is a duo of artists who propose to intervene in Lugalbanda’s exhibition and artistic objects through three distinct moments throughout the exhibition days.

⇨ Two of these performative interventions on the objects will be hidden from the public and take place behind closed doors on January 11 and 18,

⇨ and an FED BY VENUS performance will be visible and performed during the opening hours of the exhibition, January 25, before the INTERFLUENCES talk session.

Eyes that seek to retrieve something from the bottom; they grope. What is found is discovered while searching for it: something moldable, some kind of possible.

These are clay objects – the material world of everyday; the present-days. Made by 4 hands, when work crosses into alchemy.

One body alone: the body of work is the body of pleasure. Allowing oneself to guide by the knowledge of the senses; the movement that builds, the eroticism of doing.

The immersion in the world through matter. A space inhabited by 8 blindfolded hands.

An exhibition that will be activated, out of sight, in two particular moments. A shared moment, a performance, will take place at the end of the exhibition.

Lugalbanda is a project that questions the nature of the artistic gesture and art object, exploring the relations between art and life. The return to the manual was at the origin of the project, creating ceramic and ambiguous objects, wandering between the useful and the useless.

Fed by Venus is a pair of researchers investigating processes around nurturing, as well as the act of caring whilst projecting thoughts on queer futurism and the different methodologies that might arise and assemble a community.
