How to retell the story of a painting through the creation of a performance in a specific time and space?
O BARDO is a theatrical performance made to intervene in unconventional spaces. It takes as a starting point the painting Y Bardd (1774) by Thomas Jones, inspired by the massacre of welsh bards during the English invasion of Wales territory in the 13th Century.
The last welsh bard – the central figure of the painting – comes to a space to tell his personal story to the spectator, before committing his last act.
