Absolute premiere of the project that brings together two of the most acclaimed musicians on the Portuguese experimental scene: Luis Pestana and João Pais Filipe.

Luis Pestana composes mystical, minimalist pieces with an epic pointillist-MIDI collage, like a meeting of Arvo Pärt and Lorenzo Senni.
Ancient Portugal and Tokyo neon come together in a digital alchemy that turns into an emotional supernova.
Working within the aura of experimental electronic music, but filling it with organic textures and surreal human sensations, Luis Pestana proposes a new contextualisation of traditional folk music and instruments.
and traditional folk instruments, exploring a deep human need for music that has nothing to do with fashion.

João Pais Filipe is a drummer/percussionist, composer and sound sculptor from Porto. His career as a musician is characterised by his approach to the most diverse styles and languages,
in bands such as Sektor 304, HHY & The Macumbas, Talea Jacta, Paisiel, Rafael Toral Space Quartet. He has also played with Z’EV, Evan Parker, Fritz Hauser, Steve Hubback, Burnt Friedman, etc.
A connoisseur of his raw material who dares the instrument to sound more than its intended purpose and to sing mantras through rhythms.

Colectivo Casa Amarela (CCA) and Rua das Gaivotas 6 started a partnership in 2021 that proposes a curatorial occupation of music. The formula is simple: every two months, CCA will showcase a sound artist and their latest work.

The focus is on presenting the best of what is produced and heard on the electronic music and sound art scene, opening up space for the dissemination of Portuguese and international experimental music.

The JEJUM concerts have already promoted premieres, unusual collaborations, unexpected twists and double performances.

The main stage at Rua das Gaivotas 6 whets the appetite and leaves listeners hungry.

By the time they’re hungry. Preferably fasting.
