Colectivo Casa Amarela
JEJUM#20 — Ricardo Nogueira Fernandes + Louis Wilkinson
The Casa Amarela (Yellow House) Collective (CCA) and Rua das Gaivotas 6 started a partnership in 2020 that proposed a curatorial occupation of music, whose periodicity would be monthly. The formula is simple: one Saturday a month, CCA will showcase a sound artist and their latest works.
The focus is to present the best of what is produced and what is heard in the electronic music and sound art panorama, opening space for the dissemination of the portuguese experimental music scene.
The JEJUM (Fasting) concerts have already promoted premieres, unusual collaborations, unexpected twists, and double performances.
The main stage at Rua das Gaivotas 6 whets the appetite and makes listeners hungry.
Always on Saturdays, at the end of the day. Around hunger time. Preferably fasting.

Louis Wilkinson
English/Portuguese artist who develops his work in the city of Porto. His interest is directed towards exploring the relationship of electronic music (experimental and dance) with marginal artistic communities. The musical influences from which his music derives encompass both the experimentalism of La Monte Young and the dub techno of Basic Channel, adding the written work of Mark Fisher which acquires a significant role in the basis of his musical production. Like his recorded works, where repetition and the length of the pieces are an integral part of the process, his concerts also reward the patient listener in this sense, even if in these moments the artist emphasizes the fugacity of the performance through improvisation. His most recent work, Advanced Shipment Tracking, which was recently released in cassette format by Coletivo Casa Amarela, will be presented on the 18th of March at Rua das Gaivotas 6.
