(Pampilhosa da Serra, 1957)

has a degree in Fine Arts – Painting by the Escola Superior de Belas Artes de Lisboa (1983). Guest member of the Homeostética group (Portugal, Proença, Ivo, Vieira, Xana), a founding member of the Ases da Paleta group (Feliciano, Portugal, Vieira) and active in the 1990s with Louro, Mendes, Palma, Tabarra, and Vidal. Since 2010, the growing curiosity for the so-called post-colonial thought and the discovery of the concepts of politics and political subject in Rancière have determined that the ideas of art as a political game, an artist as a politician who acts by images, work as a political move, have been the driving force behind his work.
