In tight bodysuit, Aloun Marchal and Henrique Furtado measure themselves from head to toe, face their gaze, camp in the center of the stage and shout from the bottom of their guts: the challenge is on. Face to face, in an approach that is both complicit and provocative, they prepare. They explore a range of sounds and movements with detonating records, from the fight to the most impertinent children’s games, from the borborigmos to the sweetest songs, from simple exhalation to the bestial cry. Evolutionary mechanisms lead performers to go further and further into their practices, displacing bodies and manifesting the throats. The pas de deux slips from regulated violence to the pleasure of sensuality, which are both based (and this is the most disturbing) in listening, imitation and the exchange of movements.
