Rua das Gaivotas 6 hosts Ana in the context of this year’s edition of Festival do Silêncio. This performance is based on personal items that Ana Hatherly offered Susana Mendes Silva. Performed by André Gomes, Acto de Escrever has its origins in the written work of Ana Hatherly.

COMPOTA FRONTEIRAS

Sentidos Ilimitados, through the Compota project, invited artists and creators registered in the OPEN CALL 2016 to attend a hearing/thematic performance open to the public, within this year’s edition of Festival Silêncio. Candidates participated with an informal “scene”/”set” (max. 3 minutes long) focused on the word BORDERS. The Compota project is a multidisciplinary improvisation project which has as main objectives the continuous intersection of different artistic disciplines, the collaborative work and the multi-sensory stimulation of all its all participants.

/ Sentidos Ilimitados Association

The Sentidos Ilimitados association designs, produces and promotes initiatives to stimulate creativity and personal development. It is a non-profit association and it has been active for eight years within the Portuguese cultural sector. BRUTA

JULY 3 | 8PM | [DUR: 60MIN]

Bruta is a project that results from the collaborative effort between Ana Deus (Osso Vaidoso and Três Tristes Tigres) and Nicolas Tricot . Bruta was born from the fascination of Ana Deus for Ângelo Lima, a poet from Porto who spent his last years in Miguel Bombarda psychiatric hospital with paranoid schizophrenia. The album, released last year and a collaboration between Festival Silêncio and Mia Soave, is a journey through ten written works by poets admitted to psychiatric hospitals. Among the chosen ones are Ângelo de Lima, Stela do Patrocínio, António Gancho, Mário de Sá Carneiro, Sylvia Plath, António Joaquim Lança and António Maria Lisboa.
