What happens when you gather some of the most original Portuguese solo acts in a couple of vehicles?
And what happens when you continue doing it for 6 years?
What is the conversion rate of 6 years into Cube Years?

A lot has changed, but the concept remains the same. UM AO MOLHE leaves everything behind once again and hits the road with The Cube – our mascot. On the backseat of both Sapo (frog) and Kátia – our beloved touring vehicles – we drive a bunch of the most original musicians we know. The main goal is to promote some of the best one-man and one-woman bands that Portugal has to offer, and to create a circuit for the growing number of up-and-coming musicians in our country.

The Cube has matured over 6 years, and it needs to fulfill a bigger goal.
The Cube will do less, but better.
The Cube wants to be surrounded by friends.
The Cube works within its principles.

On the edge of booking 1.000 concerts, UM AO MOLHE also holds an ideological manifesto. We strive to be a decentralizing and networking force, creating encounters during the coldest months of the year, and working horizontally with up-and-coming projects and art forms.

RAPHAEL SOARES
O MANIPULADOR

Lorr no is a nostalgic rave. It’s a bit emo, but not in a my chemical romance way. It’s great for a late afternoon. It’s a small ms20, a volca and a dark energy. It’s white keys and lame melodies.

In Carincur’s universe, something is happening regarding reified bodies, doped minds, alienated identities, and the very possibility of being human. These are apocalyptic themes, but from someone who does not fear the unrest required for one last attempt.

Raphael Soares started developing his solo work in 2018. A laboratory for exploring his appreciation of Afro-Cuban rhythms, the freer jazz vocabulary after Elvin Jones, and the strain of New York noise and art-rock from the beginning of this century. A methodical work on a personal search for melody in self-contained rhythms.

O Manipulador is Manuel Molarinho’s one-man-band. Influenced by alternative rock bands and DIY ethics, he finds inspiration in abandoned industrial landscapes, in the rhythm and melody of conversations, and in experimentation.
