De bOca Cheia integrates a continued research of the artist on the theme of the failure of some modes of communication. This experimentation is a performance that includes two pieces-objects that happen in sequence, with similar structures, whose scenic device borrows the concept of diptych from the visual arts: a fold that contains two related images. The first object-piece focuses on a normative gestuality of discourse, namely political and, to a certain extent, masculine. The egg in the mouth implicitly contains a critique of some modes of communication, namely “empty” messages, said so as not to be understood; talking with one’s mouth full; saying and saying nothing; the impossibility of speech or a clogging of it. The second object-piece deals with the normatization of a certain gestuality and image of the feminine, constructed by the media. Starting from the failure of a communication and the research of normatized gestualities and images, this performance makes a crossing through the body and the sound, transmuting to other gestural-imagetic and dediscursive possibilities.
