You are part of a machinery proceeding until you rip apart its boundaries and exit it. As long as you watch, you are part of it- and nothing will ever change. The status quo of “Killer Capitalism” is kept running through your participation.
CULT is celebrated around us constantly, a holy mess for the god of money. The spiritual void left by the decline of traditional religion is filled by capitalism. Until we move, we literally watch the devil playing mini golf. Complaining is so yesterday… We would like to invite you to start thinking about tomorrow. Tomorrow is unwritten and there must be better reactions to a moral crisis than just hailing a lost paradise.
Let´s start thinking! And have a ball! Excellent dancers perform for you a struggle for belief, hope and love. Their bodies utter multiple prayers for a better tomorrow, be it through dance or singing Puccini, they exercise new thinking: Could we learn from tribal societies? How are wolf packs organized? Can mankind be like a hand? All fingers together with one intention, a fist? Can there be more common unity without giving up our so special self?
The system will rock on until you leave, that is for sure. The piece was premiered at the International Performance Art Festival in Mainz on 1st of May, 2016.
