An exhibition that unfolds in three acts, cool ain’t cool anymore is a programme that seeks to question and rethink a series of symbols, ideas and thoughts that used to be cool, but are now outdated and seen in a depreciative way, as anachronistic, ridiculous and anedoctical formulations of pop. The programme initiates with an individual exhibition of Rita GT, followed by Diogo Henrique Martins’ first individual exhibition, and ends with a collective exhibition, also occurring in a parallel cycle of anti-school conversations – 2cool4school. These various moments try to explore and answer the questions: what was cool?, what is cool? and what comes after cool?
