Who in the World am I? Ah, that’s the great puzzle.
Lewis Carroll, “Alice in Wonderland”

I am strength. You are anger. He is yell. She is jungle. We are a lie. I am silence. You are soil. He is weakness. We are arrogant. We are cultured. We are memory. I am love. I am wind. I am pop. He is a magician. We are children. I am beauty. He is fear. I am Europe. We are future. She wants to hang around. He wants to love. She seeks. They search. He hides. We are secret. He is Dorothy. She is Alice. We are Penelope. I am grown up. I am a kid. I am pink. She is blue. I am sensitive. I am corny. I believe in unicorn. I am many things. I don’t know who I am. But I am not you. I appear. I disappear. And I walk the world as if I’m a stranger to it.

/ about grupo cénico

Grupo CĂ©nico was born in 2007 and has performed plays by authors such as Plautus, GarcĂa Lorca, JosĂ© Saramago, etc. In recent years, we’ve participated in PANOS, a project promoted by Culturgest, developing works based on texts by contemporary authors such as Rory Mullarkey, Lucinda Coxon or Tim Etchells. We affirm ourselves as a school theater group and as such we want to train individuals, creating freely and without constraints, more than to create great performances with well sung phrases. We believe in cooperation between all. We don’t believe in beautiful performances. We don’t use big sets or fancy costumes, because we believe the core of our creations should rely upon the body of the actor and his inventive and performing skills. We choose texts that defy us to go further. We make theater because we believe in its urgency.
