On September 18, between 6pm and 8pm, we will host a papier-mâché workshop led by actress Maria João Vaz at Rua das Gaivotas 6.

Papier-mâché is a craft technique that combines paper and glue to create lightweight, durable, and expressive sculptures. Over time, it has been used for both decorative objects and scenic and artistic pieces due to its versatility and simplicity.

During the session, we will learn about Maria João Vaz’s technique, see some examples of her work—live and online—and explore its possible applications. Each participant will also have the opportunity to try out the process and create their own papier-mâché sculpture.

No previous experience is necessary — just bring your desire to experiment, create, and be surprised by the material.
