Assentar Sobre a Subida das Águas is a monologue-performance that explores the concept of a poetic vision of the possibility, more than certain, and eminent, of a catastrophe or catastrophic event. In which, when addressing philosophical, ecological and political questions, the frontier between the personal and the universal is blurred.
In Assentar Sobre a Subida das Águas, it is reflected on impermanence as a form of precarity, or of precarity as a form of impermanence.
Is it an allegory? It will most likely be between the allegory, the manifesto, and the confession. Because it also deals with memory as a fragile means of maintaining personal history.
If the water comes is the memory the anchor that they keep earthing. The land. So be it.
