The third edition of SillySeason curatorial project ALL TOMORROWS PARTIES embraces three artists of different disciplines who share the urge of experimenting freely. For ten days, the artists will be welcomed by Rua das Gaivotas6, in Lisbon, where they will be able to develop their artistic objects and work on the path to an increasingly aware, politicized and independent discourse. Aiming to promote a new critical thought that embodies and includes different languages, SillySeason proposal is to offer the artists a temporary workspace, visibility and additional conditions that favor their creative processes. Refusing the usual lack of support faced by artists whose work is more experimental and often sidelined, all four artists were offered creation grants for their participations. ALL TOMORROWS PARTIES is then an expanded performance involving different standpoints and issues that refuse both institutional logics and sources of power.

MIGUEL FERRÃO LOPES
Miguel Ferrão Lopes (b. 1988, Castelo Branco) defines himself as a performative and visual artist. With a degree in Visual Culture (from IADE, in 2010), he explores in the midst of the performing arts his relationship with the body-matter and the body-memory, placing it in the sphere of the intimate, the tension and transgression in narratives that cross the concrete and abstract. In 2018, he starts training at Chapitô and Fórum Dança. He is selected for the Advanced Creation Program in Performing Arts 3 (Fórum Dança), curated by Vânia Rovisco, where he presents different performative researches. He highlights his first creation, “We Might Look for New Lovers” (2019), which premieres at the Gaivotas festival in Marvila; the performative installation “Eres victima de tu propio invento: una cercanía a nuestra intimidad” (2021) for the Fuori Visioni Festival (Italy); and the site-specific performance “El Cuerpo Consumido Por Su Propia Naturaleza: Os Actos Finais” (2021). He performs for Ana Borralho & João Galante in “Sexy M/F”, in “Burn Time” by André Uerba, in “O Escuro que te Ilumina ou As últimas sete Palavras de Cristo” and “Só eu Tenho a chave desta Parada Selvagem” by Mónica Calle.
The Prodigious Flowering of Anger
The Prodigious Flowering of Anger is the time of debauchery and affection: it is a reflection on tearing, transformative rupture, the longing for suffering, the fragile power of resilience, escape and encounter, love and desire – be they beautiful or warlike. It speaks of the body, the body-skin and the body-spirit. It is a solo-ritual, a solo-fest or a dialogue of love at war, a communion through abyssal human presence, through perversion and virtuosity, it is an invitation to the liberation of atrocious and compassionate thought.

NËSS
Proudly from Mercês in Sintra and vertex of the Troublemaker Records’ family, Nëss singer-songwriter and perfomer, fearlessly exposes all the fragilities, fears, longings of his non-binary, queer and black identity in songs full of people and life. A very personal reflection of his experiences, which from the anguish of depression and doubt seek to glimpse hope, the limits of forgiveness, to chill the way. It’s indie born between the concrete of the suburbs and the skate parks, of smartphones pumping kizomba and trap, of sleepwalking home by train, of the families we don’t choose and those that welcome us, of honesty.
The Prodigious Flowering of Anger
nëss, artist from Mercês (Sintra line) and member of the label Troublemaker Records, who in the past presented us with such urgent songs as don’t ask, it’s rude, how much i cared will never reach it’s peak or KARMA, will present in this residency a sound and visual landscape, to which ey gave the title “nothing and everything in side” nëss uses this piece as a mirror, not only to look inwards and reflect on em identity (addressing pressing issues such as being a racialized and non-binary person), but also to bring the audience to face that same mirror, exploring how their identities and bodies are perceived by others. Through a myriad of sound and visual elements, nëss will take people on an introspective search for the everything and the nothing that inhabits each body.

SillySeason is a collective of artists (Cátia Tomé, Ivo Saraiva e Silva and Ricardo Teixeira) that, since 2012, allows itself to re-think about theater and performing arts, in a constant search for new creative models. They try to contribute to the production and deepening of new dramaturgies, in a constant reflection about what is theater or what can it be. They promote the construction of objects that challenge the usual logical configuration for a structure that speculates the multifaceted spectacle. Their work is based mainly on the notion of crisis, demystifying it, and proposing new dimensions of history and politics, trying to solidify an increasingly urgent discourse about the future. Along its path, SillySeason have been working through collaboration and in a network, getting in touch with different artists from different areas, with different structures and different institutions.

The Collective SillySeason is a structure financed by the General Directorate of Arts – Portuguese Republic.
