In AIM, the set, sound and choreography are built as metaphors for their disappearance. Fragility of existence, the end and extinction are explored from within the threat that the body – protagonist of action – and the stage are under. The scenic space is as a model of the universe and the current world’s state of art, in constant conflict. Through primary objects, such as sand and water (evoking recent events with refugees and migrants), dust, rocks, ashes (death/memory), among others, Flávio demonstrates the vulnerability and transience of each element – disappearance being the ultimate end to all things. On the edge of extinction, what is left? What is spread? What replaces? What survives?
