M is the public activation of a mourning process that rises from an object created for a performance that never happened. In M, through text, light and sound, a set of movements deal with an unfinished process – this mourning – which asserts itself as a political force of resistance. M is a number of actions that delicately contour the traces of M. It is the coming together of voices and hands in a choir dealing with the trail of what is left. It is looking at what is there after the ‘lack’: an after – M. M is a project-performance by Daniel Pizamiglio, which voices and mixes fragments of times and spaces, between stories and actions, to delicately delineate the lines of M. Daniel Pizamiglio, together with Letícia Skrycky’s light work and Marum’s sound, deal with the performativity of mourning as an ethical-political space.
DANIEL PIZAMIGLIO
Daniel Pizamgilio (Fortaleza, 1988) is a creator/choreographer, performer and researcher. During his initial dance training in Fortaleza, he met choreographer João Fiadeiro and moved to Lisbon in 2012, where he currently lives and works. In his work, he seeks to materialize something between poetry and the body, and how to activate the corporality of affections and relationships.
