PRAYER is a solo project by Pedro Baptista, which emerges as a reflection on certain experiences of the performer. It proposes to think about what resilience is (both in the personal and professional sphere), what our limits are, what our wishes are for the future… It could be some kind of Christmas story, preceding the rites of the New Year. A prayer: an invocation, a body that speaks.
Prayer appears as a kind of sequel, with its own recap, of the artist’s solo entitled Oração do veado sereio, also presented in December, in 2021.
PEDRO BAPTISTA
Completed a Masters in Theater (Performing Arts) at Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema. He has a background in dance, theater and performance.
As an actor/performer, worked with: Jorge Andrade (mala voadora), Jorge Silva Melo, Madalena Victorino, Mário Coelho, Patrícia Moreira, Pedro Carraca, Pedro Saavedra, Silvestre Correia, Toni Cafiero, among others.
He created several projects, from which he highlights the following works: Anima (2022), Oração do veado sereio (2021), Suspiria (2020), The Seagull (2019), Prosopopoeia (2018) and Landscape (2017).
