TRIPLE BILL

Thursday-Friday •
Booking: 5€
TRIPLE BILL is the bill that god made, it’s the triangle of reunification, it’s the three sad tigers, but let’s reveal all, confess, fictionalise.
Triple Bill. Triple Money (not really). Triple Fun (absolutely). Triple Labor (definitely). We passed 27, we didn’t die. We reached 30, survived the return of Saturn, and kept going. In 2020 it will be seven years since Rabbit Hole started, with meetings, at Rua das Gaivotas 6 – it was still raining inside. There are studies that say that the human body takes seven years to recycle its cells. What about studies on the cellular recycling of a space, ideas, anyone? Anyway, seven years have passed. And we are the same but not. Same same but different.
And so, regardless of the veracity of the studies mentioned above, Triple Bill is a 3, created by 3 elements of Rabbit Hole that have been inhabiting Rua das Gaivotas 6 for the past 7 years. For 3 weeks we have a pink card for shows, installations, film cycles, parties, concerts, conversations, drinks and meetings. A dense, fractal, multiple program that you can check below. Read on.

‘what if I couold dance, what if we could dance?’ is a performance about autobiography and fiction, which starts from the (im)possibility of creating a dance solo with a body that does not possess the technique, the intensity, or the stamina to do so. By sharing his story, the performer makes known his alternative path in the dance medium, exploring everyday situations to generate movement. Still, it is not enough. For the show to happen, the will of the audience is fundamental. There is thus a clear analogy between what we can do alone or collectively, questioning the place of technique, solo and authorship.

Sugar Coating is an attempt to make the future prettier, while we are waiting to die.
Or a manifest about Utopias of failure.
Or an attempt not to forget things when future comes.
Or a journey to reach the horizon.
*a first text publication of Sugar Coating will accompany the performance and will be available to purchase at the tickets office (ed. Montanha & Rabbit Hole).

Rabbit Hole is an artistic collective and cultural association dedicated to the curatorship, programming, production and creation of events. Since 2011 it has dedicated its activity to film and video art cycles, theater and performance shows, concerts, debates and meetings.
It has in its genesis the creation of parties for the promotion of all these artistic expressions and assumes itself at this moment as a production structure for the creation and dissemination of the artistic works of the members of the collective.
It seeks to assume itself as a space of inclusion for expressions of identity, alternative languages and aesthetics, valuing the transdisciplinary and experimental artistic creation. The Rabbit Hole collective includes a group of artists from different areas, from economics, political science, curatorship, theater, performance, dance, music, video and cinema.
Part-time artist, part-time researcher, full-time person. Creator, performer, playwright and researcher. Studied Creation in Performing Arts, Political Science and Visual Studies. He is currently finishing his PhD in social sciences. His artistic practice focuses on new dramaturgies and hybridity, crossing performing and visual arts. Founding member of Rabbit Hole. His most recent works are the performance series ‘www.we want waffles #1’ and the performance ‘Lost in Cyberia Pro1.2’.
As a creator oriented towards a visual language, Mafalda privileges the creation of moving images as a means to explore the surreal in reality.
She began her artistic career at Chapitô, and later at Grupo de Teatro da Nova. In 2016, she completed her Masters in Performance Making at Goldsmiths (UK) and participated, one year later, in the first edition of PACAP (Advanced Program for Creation in Performing Arts), at Forum Dança.
In 2013, she joins the Rabbit Hole collective and, in 2020, she founds the artistic residency space TRUST Collective, in Barril de Alva/ Arganil.
Her works and collaborations have already had the opportunity to be presented in Portugal, Italy, United Kingdom, Spain, Germany and Greece.
Currently she works in the communication management of Rua das Gaivotas 6 and Teatro Praga, in Lisbon.
Mariana Nobre Vieira is a former economist who in 2013 gave her life a performative turn through contemporary dance, being a founding member of the artistic collective Rabbit Hole, with which she worked intensively throughout Lisbon’s nightlife/party and art scene. She recently graduated from the SODA (Solo, Dance, Authorship) master program at HZT / UDK Berlin and now works as a performer, teacher and choreographer, having danced with and for artists such as Frank Willens, Clément Layes, Jeremy Shaw and André Uerba. In her own work, she uses collaborative processes to generate celebratory moments, mixing contemporary dance with queer club culture and rave dance practices. In 2019, she joins Lecken, a queer-feminist and sex-enthusiast collective in Berlin for nightlife intervention and gender disorientation.
