Release of the {9} of Cine Qua Non, presented by Rui Zink. Cine Qua Non is an arts magazine of the University of Lisbon Centre for English Studies that focuses critical attention on the relationships among diverse forms of art practice and production. Our editorial approach gathers artists and researchers, preparing essaye, chronicles, biographical and autobiographical materials, art statements, or manifestos.
This new issue focus on the conceptual turn in art of the 1960s, related with Fluxus and George Brecht; and the influence of American pop culture in different Portuguese artists and authors. The contributions in this issue are by Amanda Vox, Ana Daniela Coelho, Ana Rita Martins, Filipe Melo, Ivo Canelas, José Duarte, Jorge Vaz Nande, Julia Robinson, Margarida Vale de Gato, Maria de Almeida Alves, and Rui Zink.

/Â about Ana LuĂsa Valdeira
Has a first degree in Performing Arts and a masterâs degree in English and American Studies â Interart Studies by the Faculty of Letters of the University of Lisbon. Currently she has a doctoral fellowship from the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology, and she is a Ph.D candidate of Arts at the University of Lisbon. She is a researcher of ULICES (University of Lisbon Centre for English Studies) since 2009.

Has a masterâs degree in English and American Studies â Interart Studies, and a BA degree in Performing Arts from the Faculty of Letters of the University of Lisbon. She is a researcher of ULICES (University of Lisbon Centre for English Studies) since 2009, working in the area of cinema and music.
