“Joana and Bruno. Two names that are two bodies. A female, the other male. An evidence that would be irrelevant if was not referring to two people, genetically different, which will meet for the first time in a space of fiction, which is always a space of desire – the stage (and, concomitantly, the dance) is this place without gender imposing a critical eye on the pulse of what attracts us, captivates, excites, or invades. On the space of “reality”, however, the two bodies, male and female, have never had any sexual contact with the opposite sex. This is important only because in this piece – experience (not to be confused with ‘experimental’) aims to build a space-antipode, asking: what if… to do this: knock up all categorizations, redefine themselves all settings. In other words the historiography of sexuality that daily Joana and Bruno build in their own reality (diachrony) is here and now confronted with the story of momentary sensuality built in performance in the fictional (syncrony). Two bodies that are two names, and meet for the first time as if it were possible to counteract the genealogy to subvert the nomenclature, overcome the repulsion to embrace the mystery, dribble the preconception to know the unknown, to test the anatomical to win the psychic. And because it’s a performance, we intend to explore this possibility – antipode of entertainment that reenacts the “reality” to serve as a last fictional escape. Or vice versa … ”
