Bruno Cantanhede (Kid Richards) was born in Leiria, in 1988. Musician and autodidact photographer, studied arts and attended the Architecture course until the 4th year. Since then he has done countless things that make him happy.
“Character, like a photograph, develops in darkness.” (Yousuf Karsh)
Between 2015 and 2016, Bruno went to Milan, Italy.
From those travels emerged a diary made of moments and people submersed on the instant of Bruno’s eye.
Those instants became a lived story in the past that didn’t spotted the future.
In the present, a story made of dark and ambitious horizons that help him to find a place where he wants to be someday, that could be tomorrow or after, since it happens.
A black and white photo book, contrasted, dark and unclean that told you the beginning, middle and the end of instants from two people in a city.
Between architectural details and solitary urban movements, we got “flashes” of intimacy that help to decode the story.
Marta Cruz, presentation text of “Let’s Get Lost Here”
“Two cities that serve as the backdrop to this story of encounters and mismatches told and captured by Kid Richards’ lens. His gaze personality is easily recognized, although here with a different concept.”
Nuno Calado
“The most interesting part is to enter into this world, which is really the private, the diary, the chosen one for the list of memories to keep”
Vera Marmelo
