“Precarious work is how I finally entitled a book I have been writing ever since I was 18 years old. I was never able to finish it, since it feels to me to be the notebook with which I learned how to write. I have been more commited to correct and edit it, than to add any sort of content to it. Precarious work collects some of the stories that involved this proccess. I decided to use the book as theatrical matter from the moment it became clear that it was merely a testimony. I must admit I’ve always been ashamed of writting poems. The story of this “scenic act” is about why being reluctant to write, but to write poems nonetheless.” Rui Catalão
