THE WHISPERED WORD is a reading-performance to be heard, especially. The artist departs from the conundrums of language to raise considerations about human convivialities, while approaching speech and writing as technologies. As such, they render means for convention and invention, which here is enacted as a counter force to barbarism.

VINICIÚS ARNEIRO

Viniciús Arneiro is a theater director and actor graduated from the Martins Penna Theater School (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil). As a director, Arneiro emphasizes collaborative dramaturgy based on experiments carried in the rehearsal room. Writing, thus, is perceived in an expanded form, one that  predicts articulations and tensions in between body, sound and space. Cachorro!, Rebu, Os Sonhadores, and Colônia stand out as his main works. He’s been nominated for the Shell Award for best director twice, both in 2007 and 2016.
