Persistence is the dramaturgical catalyst for actions and images. The repetition and the insistence transform the bodies and deform their contours in the construction of a monstrous and too human state. From simple actions, violent frictions start to drip. Exhaustion, sweat and saliva appear as a consequent material. We persist, and from this persistence come a dissonant dramaturgy that transits between the bodies that resist. Two human moving machines like rabbits that transit along the ride … relieving the weight that is keeping time, space and sound and everything that exists forever in the infinite.

Chubby Bunny was born in the framework of the course PEPCC – Study Program in Performance and Choreographic Creation, Forum Dança (Lisbon), from the transmission of the work of Sofia Dias & Victor Roriz “A gesture that is nothing more than a Threat” (2011). The co-creation between the Brazilian dancer Luara Learth Moreira and the Portuguese dancer Catarina Feijão was first presented as a working in progress in Lisbon, in the space Alkantara, in July 2016.

At the invitation of the Festival (Re) union, was presented in October 2016, in the space Alkantara, and Forum Dança, also in the city of Lisbon. In April 2017, the dancers won support from the Companhia Instável do Porto – (PT) to develop the research and were selected to join the international Festival DDD-Dias da Dança (Porto), presenting the new format in May 2017 at the Teatro Municipal do Porto Campo Alegre (Porto).
