Degree in Art History from UAL and Degree from the Lisbon School of Dance in Dance.

Since 2015 integrated the Cast of Companhia Olga Roriz, in such pieces as PROPRIEDADE PRIVADA, ANTES QUE MATEM OS ELEFANTES, SÍNDROME, A MEIO DA NOITE e AUTÓPSIA. Performer in WB Motion Kultur Verein Association, since 2014.

Performer in João Galante and Ana Borralho’s ROMANCE FAMILIAR OU REALIDADE AUMENTADA. Also danced in MAREMOTO Miguel Moreira, and Bruno Alexandre’s CAVALOS SELVAGENS. Colaborated with several artists, as André E. Teodósio, Gonçalo Lobato, Bon Bom, Catarina Lee, Filipe Pinheiro, Sylvia Rijmer and Beatriz Dias.

At the same time, he has been developing work as a Choreographer, highlighting the solo CASA DE CAMPO presented at the VII International Solo Dance Festival, CELLAR premiered in Wittenberg, Germany, and the latest performances UNDERDOG premiered at DAMAS BAR, Lisbon, and MACHINE GOD.

As Video Artist, made the films UVB 76, edited the teasers and promos of ANTES QUE MATEM OS ELEFANES and A MEIO DA NOITE, as well as their advertising spots for RTP. Director and editor RESSACA by David Marques, CAVALOS SELVAGENS by Bruno Alexandre, COIN OPERATED by Jonas & Lander, MUSCULUS by Beatriz Dias , FLECHA COLÔNIA IN SITE SPECIFIC by Luara Learth Moreira.

(B. 1977, Lisbon)

Degree in dance from the School of Dance (Pre Bologna) and Degree in Law from the Autonomous University of Lisbon (Pre Bologna). Master in Performing Arts by FCSH. He has worked at the Companhia Olga Roriz as a dancer since 2007, integrating all his shows performed in Portugal, Macau, Brazil and South Korea. He also worked with Filipa Francisco in the show “A Viagem” and with Tiago Rodrigues / Companhia Instável in “Assim, tipo…dança contemporânea”. Was also a performer and creator of the shows “Lugar Vagon”, awarded by the Portuguese Club of Arts and Ideas, presented at the festival Citemor and “Aguada” both in collaboration with Pedro Santiago Cal and Mafalda Saloio.

As a choreographer he created the solo “Cinemateca”, supported by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and Materiais Diversos, which premiered at the Festival Cumplicidades and “Cavalos Selvagens”, premiered at Culturgest and supported by Direcção Geral das Artes.
In Cinema she participated in Susana Nobre’s “Nadadoras” and Sandro Aguilar “Mariphasa”.

At the Theater worked with Susana Vidal on the show “Rosto, Clareira e Desmaio” premiered at the Teatro Nacional D.MariaII, and participated in “Aqui há regras”, a proposal from Collectif Jambe to the Alkantara Festival.

Hugo Olim was born in 1990, in Funchal.

Degree in Theater, variant interpretation by the Superior School of Music and Performing Arts in 2016.

In 2012, completed his acting course at the Contemporary Academy of Entertainment. Participated in the second edition of the project NOS – Território (ES)cénico of Portugal and Galicia in the show “O Mundo Persistente”, staged by Tito Asorey and text by Fernando Epelde.

He founded the Association COLECTIVO RETORNO together with Mariana Magalhães, Sofia Santos Silva and Joana Coelho Cunha.

Throughout his artistic career, he has been working with several directors and collectives, such as: António Júlio, Joana Providência, António Capelo, João Paulo Costa, Patrick Murys, Palmilha Dentada, Lee Beagley, Carlos J. Pessoa and Nuno Cardoso, among others.

Participates regularly in trainings, highlighting workshops with Howard Gayton, Andreas Dyrdal, Los Banditos Theater, Nuno Pino Custódio.

His professional experience includes companies such as teatro O Bando, Companhia Olga Roriz, Teatro da Comuna, Teatro da Trindade. Festivals include, Alkantara Festival, Citemor, FIAR, Faro Capital of Culture among others.

He composed original music for short films, and collaborated as a composer and live musician at Matadero in Madrid (2010). Produced and composed original music for Dance in Rui Horta’s “Hierarquia das Nuvens”; “Every.Body Hunts” and “Anatomization” by Sylvia Rijmer; “Cinemateca” and “Cavalos Selvagens”, by Bruno Alexandre; “Uncertain Song” by Luis André Sá; “Entropia” by Allan Fallieri; “Enchaine” by Ema Yuasa and Patterns by Tom Collin.

In the Theater area, he has collaborated with sound designs for Teatro Praga in “Despertar da Primavera”, “Jangal”, “Worst Of” and “2018” a performance by André E. Teodósio.
