Just like Walter Benjamin questions artistic objects’ cultic value by the overlap of its exposition value, auéééu – Teatro asks the same about the idea of Tradition: is it resisting due to material objects – now with a capitalized, clean, and seductive mask, or is it blocked as an object of subjectivity? The symbolic field of Tradition has anyhow changed. As Gilles Lipovetsky asserts, we are walking into a “transesthetic” capitalism where things are observed as if we were tourists.
Sight has lost its tradition, to benefit technological advance, set loose of spirituality, ethics and morals: Tradition and Fashion are merged into one; God can be my car; Crimea is my favourite TV show. The impact that technology produces on human behaviour foretells a world inhabited by homo machinas, ruled by economics.
