Uma novela? Um filme? Uma peça? Um role play? Uma audição?
O Criado é um espectáculo baseado na novela The Servant, escrita por Robin Maugham, e adaptada ao cinema por Harold Pinter e Joseph Losey. Vamos recuperar o texto original e usá-lo para rever a artificialidade dos papéis sociais e a teatralidade da sua representação. Um quase espectáculo. Um upstairs/downstairs virado do avesso. Teatro com cinema onde actores são criados e encenadores são senhores, perante uma plateia de voyeurs. Uma noite sem subtextos e cheia de jogos de submissão carregados de frustração sexual, questionando o que é isso das classes sociais, o desejo e o dinheiro. E o teatro, já agora.

O Criado is a performance based on the novel The Servant, written by Robin Maugham, and adapted to the cinema by Harold Pinter and Joseph Losey. We’ll recover the original text and use it to review the artificiality of social roles and the theatricality of their representation. An almost spectacle. Upstairs upstairs / downstairs. Theater with cinema where actors are created and directors are masters, before an audience of voyeurs. A night without subtexts and full of submission games loaded with sexual frustration, questioning what is this of social classes, desire and money. And the theater, by the way.
